Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet community in the West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. Many people who don't know about the place mistakenly think that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually it is the West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island, although this isn't the truth. Brugel developed on Courtice just outside Oshawa located in Ontario. She wanted to become a professional dancer but because of a huge increase in her height, she outgrew all of her dancing partners. In an interview with Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels, I'm 6 feet and 1 inch." As I grew older than my male companions, I quit. Many dancers make the transition into acting. In the case of Bruce, it was her drama teacher who nudged her into this path. She was encouraged to take part in an audition in the school's production. Following a trial her options, she was eventually the lead actress for Anne of Green Gables. This led to her being awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University. Since then, Brugel's been in over 60 productions both smaller and large. The most notable was when she landed Rita's role in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian in the season 1 actors of the series and seen only occasionally, was the sole Canadian.
